Welcome to our new school year! I am looking forward to meeting all of you and having a great year together!
I teach using many notebooks, some of which I will supply (pink, orange, and yellow). I do recommend that you buy at least 2 blue notebooks. We use these for math almost every day and usually fill it up near the end of term 2. Matching folders are also necessary. Right now, there are great sales on both items. It would be appreciated if you could also pick up a black notebook and folder, if possible. Please know that if this is not possible, I will make the purchases myself. I don't want to put any undue stress on anyone in these trying times. Of course, any other items on the supply list will be used by your child. I have enclosed the optional list under the Policies and Expectations tab.
In addition to these supplies, which would be best to bring in the first week of school, as we take time to organize them, please have your child bring in a water bottle and snack. The water bottle can be refilled during the day. A cold water thermos is not required, but your child may appreciate cool water on the warm days at the start of the school year. There is no "bubbler" access and I don't have cups for the students to use, so please make sure your child brings a reusable bottle or cup. Also, if your child is reading a book at home, please have him/her bring that to school. I think it will make a child more comfortable to have something ready to read rather than trying to pick out a book on day one. Once I know what my students like to read, I will try to make sure my class library has some preferred genres. Enjoy the last days of summer vacation. Mrs. Robin Kuketz
